Heads of Mission Conference
Sea Rail had the honor of attending the 2024 Heads of Mission Conference in Gaborone, Botswana, on April 5th, 2024, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Botswana. Our Managing Director, Mr. Derick Mokgatle, took the stage to showcase SeaRail’s value proposition and the pivotal role of our dry port in propelling Botswana towards becoming a logistics and transport hub.
During his presentation, Mr. Mokgatle emphasized the strategic location of the dry port adjacent to the Port of Walvis Bay, offering the most efficient, secure, and reliable transit route for Botswana’s imports and exports. With no port congestion and SeaRail enabling quicker transit of goods, the dry port stands as a catalyst for boosting Botswana’s trade activities.
We are immensely grateful for the opportunity extended by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, recognizing the potential of our dry port to significantly enhance Botswana’s imports and exports. The engagement with Heads of Missions promises to further increase awareness and utilization of our facilities across their respective countries.
